Shea butter
Shea butter has a soothing and calming effect on the skin. Most seed oils can be divided into two main parts. One part is the saponifiable part. This part contains most of the moisturizing properties. The other part is the unsaponifiable part. This part contains the most nurturing properties.
What makes shea butter so special and at the same time different from other natural oils is the high content of unsaponifiables. The content of nurturing properties varies from 5% to 17%. For comparison, in most natural oils, the nurturing properties are only 1% or less.
Because shea butter has such a high content of nurturing properties, shea butter can strongly support your skin in its self-healing ability. So we love shea butter and that is why it is in all our shampoo bars!
Olive oil
We love olive oil because it is an undervalued miracle cure in the cosmetics industry. Just because we also fry potatoes with it does not mean that it is inferior to the hip jojoba oil or argan oil. Olive oil is very rich in antioxidants, including vitamin E, phytosterols and polyphenols.
These antioxidants are very effective in fighting free radicals that affect healthy body cells, causing the skin to age faster. In addition to the fact that olive oil softens your hair, it also has a moisturizing effect on your skin and therefore your hair roots. It also repairs damaged skin cells, which prevents irritation of your skin and therefore has a light anti-dandruff effect.

We are often asked whether shampoo bars are more expensive than regular shampoo bottles. The answer is no, they are cheaper! A 70 gram shampoo bar lasts an average of 90 to 110 washes and is therefore equal to about 4 plastic shampoo bottles of 250 ml.
